Harvest Plan

Every company needs a business plan to be successful. For VitaminSea Seaweed, it’s our harvesting plan. If we over harvest or do not follow sustainable cutting regulations, we will not be in business very long. We only harvest new growth in our beds, leaving the deeper, mature plants alone as they are responsible for creating good spawn of new plants for years to come.

We make sure that our harvesting methods are environmentally friendly, protect the seaweed and maintain it at optimal freshness. Once harvested, we keep our plants in insulated boxes that are filled with seawater until the plants are ready to dry. This keeps the seaweed fresh and keeps the plants from decomposing. As a precaution our fuel tanks are stored in spill-proof containment areas. This ensures there will be no contamination to our products, or the environment.

Another tool we use is good old common sense! We believe that everyone, including businesses, needs to be mindful in what they do and remember that for every action, there is a reaction. Simply put, do something good and something good will come back to you. Do something bad and it will come back to you tenfold! If we all take the time and effort to do the right thing, the world will be a better place!
